The New Adages: Life is a Conversation

Life is a Conversation

The feeling that comes to mind when we say the words “communicate” or “let’s talk” is usually anxiety or stress about what is coming next.

As the years have gone by, I have witnessed so many people trying to learn how to communicate. And, most of the time it’s horrible. There are so many rules, roles, and ways to communicate that it can be virtually impossible to really listen and converse.

Rather than thinking of an unpleasant topic as a negative confrontation or communication (ugh), change it in your mind to a conversation. When we approach each other using the word conversation, it sets up the situation to be more casual. Some conversations are more difficult than others, but they are still just conversations.

Take the fear out of starting an exchange: Simply have a conversation.
